On August 28, during the IOTE 2024 22nd International IoT Exhibition & AGIC General Artificial Intelligence Conference and Industry Expo, the World AIoT Innovation Alliance (WAIA) held its launch preparation ceremony. Representatives from AIoT associations in 15 regions and over 60 global guests from 12 countries, including more than 30 international business guests from countries such as the United States, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, attended the event.

One of the main initiators of the WAIA alliance, Yang Weiqi, Executive President of the Shenzhen IoT Industry Association and founder of the IOTE International IoT Expo, stated, "The WAIA alliance aims to build an open, cooperative, and win-win platform to fully promote AIoT technology research and innovation, standard formulation, market expansion, and international cooperation, becoming a truly public organization that connects AIoT institutions and key enterprises globally, especially focusing on and supporting the globalization of intelligent IoT enterprises."

The event was hosted by Zhuang Yijian, President of the Hong Kong IoT Chamber of Commerce. Industry organization leaders such as Yang Weiqi, Executive President of the Shenzhen IoT Industry Association, Yang Yanfeng, President of the Thailand International IoT Association, Dr. Anna Lau from the Asia Automatic Identification Association Aim Asia, John Tay, CSO of the Malaysia IoT Association, Liang Binxian, President of the Taiwan IoT Association, Zhu Zhentian, President of the Ningbo IoT Intelligent Technology Application Association, Mr. Sung Tien Lo, Envoy of the Brazil IoT Association, Mr. Michael from the Canadian AI Organization, and Ding Xianfeng, Director of the International Sensor Association, delivered speeches, sharing the unique development characteristics and cooperation needs of the AIoT industries in various countries and regions, and their aspirations for jointly initiating the WAIA alliance.

Following this, Ms. Ha Yuling, representative of the excellent Chinese AIoT company Youboxun, spoke, introducing Youboxun's global development experience and new system products, and expressed sincere blessings for the establishment of the WAIA alliance, hoping that the alliance could bring together global AIoT industry elites to jointly promote technological innovation and development, and foster resource sharing and mutual benefits.

Other representatives at the scene included Lei Jie, Secretary-General of the Xiamen IoT Association, Zhao Jun, President of the Zhuhai IoT Industry Association, Li Guangwen, Secretary-General of the Qingdao IoT Industry Association, Xu Ming, Secretary of the Hangzhou IoT Industry Association, Zuo Qiang, Secretary-General of the E-paper Alliance, and Ms. Sun Erxi, founder of the Quadrant Think Tank.

After the launch ceremony, over 60 global guests participated in a pleasant networking cocktail party. The dinner was jointly hosted by Dou Changjun, one of the main initiators of the WAIA alliance and founder and chairman of Shenzhen E-Link IoT Co., Ltd., and Ms. Sun Erxi, founder of the Quadrant Think Tank.
